TowerWatch Ministries is dedicated to helping Christians reach out to Jehovah's Witnesses both to enlighten current and would-be Jehovah's Witnesses and to help Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses through the recovery process. Cal, the creator of the site, was a JW for 35 years and an elder for 20 years. The site offers a wonderful forum and chat room, and a number of articles and other resources to combat the JW "ministry of misery." Personal experiences are recorded in numerous audio testimonies. Although the site is extremely critical of both the psychology and teachings of the Watchtower Society, the author has a respect and love for the sincerity and conscientiousness of Witnesses and shows compassion for people who have been led astray. He offers alternative interpretations and doctrinal argument, but what qualifies him for this award is the space he has made for compassionate understanding and support. Many of the audio testimonies allow for identification and model alternative paths. The forum and chat rooms are very helpful resources. Personally, I most enjoyed the articles especially for former Witnesses, the support group information, and some of the poetry.

Willow (an Ex-JW) has created a healing site focused on paganism and magick. "Magick is all about self transformation and when you start transforming your life into positives, then the healing begins," says Willow. "There is nothing negative about paganism, wicca, witchcraft at all. We (and my site) all do what we can for our environment (which leads to a healthier spiritual self and spiritual world) and to help our fellow man/woman/child." Highlights of the site include information on herbs and health problems, moon stone and candle magick, an interesting take on paganism and the misunderstood pentagram, and original poetry by the webmaster.

Wiccan Pride applied for the Religious Truths Insight Award, but the site offers more resources for community and healing than philosophical rumination on what qualifies as a religious truth. It's a wonderful online circle and introduction to wiccan beliefs, very inclusive and group-oriented. There are resources from the traditions of wicca, to magickal craft, to misconceptions-busting, to spells and rituals, tools and more. Excellent.

The Advanced Handbook of Soul Transformation: The Multidimensional Hitchhikers Guide to Unity Consciousness

Soul-Healer is a unity consciousness and lightworking site presented by an English and Brazilian husband and wife team. Although there are commerical interests to the site, it has some very helpful awareness exercises and statements, as well as interesting articles on such topics as multidimensional awareness, soul exploration, spiritual paths, entity attachments, and higher self. The emphasis is on soul transformation and awareness.

A Lady's View is a wonderful eclectic site that presents one woman's views of home, family, love, life, spirituality and the understanding needed to sustain ourselves and others in our everyday lives. Energy, empath, astral travel, auras, soul relationships, crystal meditation, guardians guides and teachers, past lives, life stages, silver birch, mother earth, shamanism, the great bear, warrior woman, the sex of love, winds of change, causes, poetry, original graphics, and much more. The Worldwide Online Meditation Center is a colorful, user-friendly site, offering clear, concise meditation instruction on a variety of techniques from various traditions, each producing its own unique experiences and benefits. The site is organized by the concept of rooms. From the directory, you can access any room in the center, each containing instructions for a specific meditation, or information to enhance your meditation experience. The instructions for each meditation are written concisely, making it fairly simple to read through them and try out the technique straight away. The information you'll find here is universal, i.e. drawn from many of the world's great mystical teachings, and not representative of any one tradition. The site is a wonderful overview of several different kinds of techniques, from relaxation and centering to the use of light and color, and is a beneficial resource for healing and reconnection.

Tarot by Michael is a highly compassionate, healing, and ethical site. Concise tarot and dream readings are geared to answer the questions you have asked rather than simply invoke suggestive images in your mind. When he was nominated (by someone else) for the award, I sent him a question, and was impressed with the response. Michael does not claim to be an all-knowing mystical guru, and carefully explains the limits of his reading. The utmost value of this site for a recovering Witness is having access to a person who will ponder your question, and respond with caring and compassion, love and goodwill. I can testify to the value and insight expressed in the response I got to my question, and I think that a person who can write such a response is a valuable resource for compassionate healing.
