It’s called sarcasm. I am bracketing him out of the position of power and rhetorically placing him where he fits metaphorically – as a boy who wants to impress his daddy. His need to be a bigger man than daddy combined with his dry alcoholism isn’t terribly appealing to me.

well, it’s because it’s such a beaten path. I used to debate incognito over at this goofy site called ‘The smirking Chimp’ and of course DU. I was converting people back over to reality, had a pretty good following , when the scared tolerance Nazis at The Chimp banned me. No loss, though, as I did get two people to agree that liberalism was no longer for them. They have since embarked on the road to political recovery. This is what made the site administrators berzerk.
