This country needs to help these people now, point blame later. I feel so bad for the people who are down there. My youngest son Robbie this morning asked me why he heard me crying. I had to explain to him, at 11, how I was crying watching the news beacause my heart broke with all those mothers who were just trying to get their children safe, give them water and food and medicine. I wish I could get in my mini van and drive down there, pick up as many as I can fit and bring them to my house and take care of them. Robbie is now planning to organize a neighborhood yard sale to raise money for them. I am going to donate to the Salvation Army any money we get. The shoot to kill order for the looters is disgusting. Most of these people are only trying to get food or clean clothes. I saw one woman on the news who had 6 pair of shoes and the reporter said "don't you know that is stealing?" and she replied "I have kids with bare feet, there is glass everywhere, they need shoes, I am not selling them on the black market, I am trying to take care of my kids". We need to help these people live, then figure out how to rebuild their lives. I cannot even imagine - we are so lucky - I have prayed every night since this thanking God for what I have, everytime I see my kids, I think of those Moms who cannot find theirs.
