Hospital Infections Accountability
Hold hospitals accountable for reporting their hospital-aquired infection rates.
One in 20 hospital patients gets an infection while being treated for an unrelated problem. Almost 90,000 serious cases result in death annually.
Consumers need cooperation from these hospitals, information about infection rates is a way of tracking the hospital compliance with basic scientific procedures. These deaths were preventable.
You can help stop hospital infections by demanding information about your local hospital’s infection rates and prevention practices. Your local hospital must answer to you — the local community. With direct local pressure from you, hospitals will no longer be able to hide their problems behind a smoke screen of excuses.
