Sandra Day O'Connor wasn't a liberal - it might be nice to replace her with a person that represented more of the country, especially since Roberts is already on. Do I expect that to happen - not really, because I don't see that democracy matters much to this bunch, who seem motivated only by power/greed.

I'm a strong pro-choice feminist, but this isn't really about Roe v Wade, which is simply being used to manipulate conservative christians into voting for Republicans. The real issues for me at this point are executive powers, corporate influence (and protections, welfare, etc to the detriment of citizens), civil liberties and privacy, and (I'm with you on this) eminent domain.

I think it's funny that you see the Supreme Court as liberal - didn't they put Bush into office in an act of unprecedented judicial activism?

Did you really expect a Republican President to nominate a liberal judge to replace Sandra Day O'Connor? We need more conservatives on the courts to remove the liberal unbalance of the court and maybe we can get rid of these ridiculous court decisions.

I don't see that Roe vs. Wade needs to be over turned and I really don't see it happening no matter who the Senate confirms. I am much concerned over the courts decision to allow Eminent Domain to be usurped for purposes never intended by our founding fathers.
