Once, awhile back, I heard what I thought was knocking at my front door.

So I went up and looked out the window. Nothing. Well now I was completely curious, so I opened the front door a crack.

A possum immediately tried to shove his way through the crack. I said "wait here a minute" and pulled the door shut, pissing the possum off.

While he banged on the door, I went and got my rifle, loaded it, put one in the chamber. Went back, opened the door a crack, placed the muzzle on the head of my unwanted guest, and pulled the trigger.

To this day, I don't know if the possum was rabid or not-they are such aggressive creatures by nature, it's impossible to tell.
