First, "laypeople" are not advising. They are registering their comments as citizens under the suggestion of concerned scientists that are keeping watch on the Bush administration.

Secondly, if you go to the action site, there is a lot more information. The EPA has really gone downhill under this administration and we should be watching. The basic issue is that the EPA seems to think they have done enough to deal with lead pollution. Under the pro-corporate/manufacturing, anti-consumer health direction of the Bush administration, money-making is more important than people's lives. Go to their main main to see the range of issues, or see any number of other websites to get more information about the erosion of watchdog government agencies.

Thirdly, I trust that my readers know how to use a search engine to do research for themselves. It's something that I encourage everyone to do.

For those that want to register their view on this matter, the deadline approaches. I find it hard to imagine that anyone who doesn't directly benefit from lead pollution could be "pro-lead."

Whoa, there has to be more to the story or the EPA would not have dropping lead under consideration.

Why would a lay person want to advise EPA without knowing more about it?

Cheers,
