Heidi--just a word of thanks to you for the work that you put into your blog. Even though we may be on different sides of the spectrum religiously and politically we share the belief that language is a virus--and are in awe of the implications of that. I really resonated with the last paragraphs in this post--that through respect and the honoring of other's perspectives we have a better chance of solving problems.

There are no surprises here.

The wingnuts have used projection as a tool so well that it boggles my mind.

Whatever their worst qualities are, they project right onto others-and make them stick. Really, is there anyone more disgusting than Michelle Malkin? Is there a worse example of humanity on Earth than Ann Coulter? Glenn Beck is a frigging Nazi in all but armband.

If the dems don't start sticking to their guns on issues like th
ese, they will be painted in whatever way the cowardly scumbags of the Chimpleton right choose to paint them. It's way past time to stop being halfhearted and to start flinging it right back at them. I thought Edwards was headed that way with his "McCain Doctrine," but it looks like I was wrong.
