We were trying to get him to understand how important it was for him to accept a transfusion if he needed one and he would not agree to it. Then he said something so profound in his drugged up state I've never forgotten it. He looked me in the eye and said "Trace, I believe what I believe but I'll never go back there because the Witnesses are simply not nice." My dad, the crankiest, nastiest old man you would ever meet could even see that. Thank you for publishing this letter.
