I feel bad that I caused you to revisit some painful things in your past, but I don’t regret it because you know it was not my intent to cause you distress and the resulting post is a powerful thing. I really appreciate your willingness to sacrificially reveal yourself. Some parts of your story have parallels to my own. Nancy and I had 3 first-trimester miscarriages, all very similar to your experience--thankfully not all in a row. As I was reading your response I flashed back to when a “friend” referred to one of Nancy’s D&Cs as an abortion. I was appalled then, and still am that a medical procedure accepted after all hope of life was gone and important for Nancy’s physical and mental health was labeled as sin in his mind. You are probably thinking that my question was just a prelude to others. It probably was, but the next step has not crystallized in my mind.
