I spent several years as a single parent, and got a first-hand introduction to what a lot of women have to face everyday when it comes to problems at home interfering with work. I believe it is time I actually wrote a post on it.

Most men, even in the year 2007, do not have a clue as to what it is like to have no support structure at home for crises. They should-FMLA, though a good thing, doesn’t go anywhere nearly far enough.
