When we did personality assessments at my previous workplace, the participants sorted neatly by _role_, ie., support staff were supportive, emotional, blah blah blah and lawyers were analytical, etc. Of course, an alien entering the room and having no understanding of class dynamics would have seen all female humans in one category and fewer female humans in the other category and might have jumped to the conclusion that the primary differential was gender...with the female lawyers being androgynous freaks.

Not saying it had nothing to do with gender, of course, and a law firm probably is not the best place to get a nuanced view of this stuff, but clearly class plays a role in a variety of ways.
