good luck with that audience. god how i hope somebody can reach them and just teach them what the bill of rights actually means. perhaps a little bit of accurate u.s. history too. i failed miserably and it is probably the number one thing that needs to be done in this country. here is hoping a former JW does a better job than a needs-to-be-lapsed catholic. god bless ya for trying.

Sorry. Halloween is a huge topic for me. To be honest, I’m still sick and much of this is a straight cut and paste from a regular web page of mine – where I’m trying to explain a range of things to a largely Christian audience.

For a former Jehovah’s Witness in a conservative state like Georgia, Halloween tends to become a loaded topic.

I love that I get to celebrate it, finally, but I’ve got a couple of old eggs in my pocket tonight, in case anybody tries to be a jerk to my little boy. I’ve cleaned up enough of them that I don’t care whether tricks are acceptable anymore or not.

It is probable that I won’t actually use them, but it’s nice to be carrying.

The kids weren’t allowed to wear any Halloween costumes to school.

I thought I wandered all over the place in a post, but after reading this one, I am now officially a full-blown schizophrenic. Well you had to bring Jung into this, when you could have brought Freud in and swung towards the carnal side.

I still find it amazing that on any other day of the year someone banging on your door and making demands would get shot in the face, but for just one day, we open the door and opt for a slow death through diabetes.
