A miracle it wasn't bombed to rumble like most of the other big European cities in WWII. We also found the people very gracious--unlike the stereotype. You can hardly even blame the waiters the way the tourists tend to behave. Notre-Dame is my favorite cathedral--I love the flying buttresses and the stained glass windows.
