Their activism helped secure the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts. Now, 35 years later, with the Senate&#8217;s recent vote to drill in the Arctic Ntn&#8217;l Wildlife Refuge, that activism is needed to counter a growing threat to all hard-won environmental protections.<\/p>\n<p>On Earth Day, April 22 &#8211; all the letters will be sent to the congresspersons in your state. Send thanks to those who voted to protect the Artic National Wildlife Refuges and strong diappointment to those who voted to allow oil drilling. Not only should we continue to protect our Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts, but Congress should end this constant battle over the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
