Who was your god talking to
\nwhen he created in “our image”?
\nWhy is the name writ plural from the start?<\/p>\n
You say that there is only one god,
\nOne god and there is no other.
\nThe commandment merely states
\nyou must worship no other god –
\nnot before god YHWH.
\nAnd this manifestation was given to those
\nwho did magic on top of the mountains.<\/p>\n
You say that you’re a monotheist
\nbut you believe in Jupiter-Mars
\nwith Osirus for dessert.
\nDo we worship i-am first
\n(or with top-level speed),
\nand then move on to his children,
\nhis cousins, his friends, and his lovers?<\/p>\n
Where at this time is Apollo?
\nWhere are the bodies of the fractal gods,
\nAnd what have you done to my mother?<\/p>\n
Never mind for now the ring around
\nthe rose of the incorporated chart,
\nwe’ll circle here and all fall down
\naround the father son and ghost,
\nbut what I want to know is
\nall about God’s angels.<\/p>\n
Not human souls, but avengers,
\nmessengers and spies, with
\nlofty principalities now forgotten.
\nWho was inquisitor golden?
\nWho was the writer of the secret scrolls?
\nWho let loose all the plagues and the pests?
\nWho was director of intelligence?<\/p>\n
Tell all about strange seraphim
\nand cherabim,
\nand cyberabim unfurled,
\nOne so frightening says “do not fear”
\nethereal insemination
\n(this star-mare is slave hand-maiden),
\nbut others pass for men, speaking
\nto women, who shelter them
\nuntil the walls come down again.<\/p>\n
We read them as benevolent
\n— these shiny bureaucrats —
\nwho embody only functions,
\nthe shapes of thought that bring us plagues
\nand war and death, destruction.<\/p>\n
The director, this vengeful warrior
\nneeds to grow up, and stop punishing you
\nfor failing to meet his impossible goals.
\nYour god makes you schizo
\nwith constant double messages.
\nReally – isn’t he just a mirror
\nOf your own pathologies?<\/p>\n
Your savior resurrects you one day
\nas a zombie to frighten away
\nyour nonexistent children of the future.
\nFrom sheol, from hades, the liminal worlds
\nyou retain the lake of fire,
\nthe hell you create in your own world
\nrides faster than a blue-turbaned fool
\non a donkey. You believe that your sins
\nwill all tumble away if you only
\nhave faith and forgive,
\nbut your faith resides more
\nwith the rapists and killers
\nYou sheeple hold on to your fears.<\/p>\n
Who among you believes
\nthis old news of a kingdom is good?
\nYou’re willing to bring on apocalypse now
\ntrusting lord to clean up for the steward?<\/p>\n
You seem only to be able to define
\ngoodness as membership
\nin your meaningless community,
\nformed and bounded by
\ncollective hatred of any outsider,
\nand especially the outsider within.
\nWasn’t that Lucifer’s mistake?
\nYour devil remade in red horns and tail
\nfor fear and conversion and control.
\nWho does your devil look like now?<\/p>\n
He, always he, longs for wild days as Pan.
\nPipes playing, hooves dancing,
\nand wine you’ve turned into
\nthe blood of the innocent again.
\nYou lack the compassion to
\neven feel awkward, while sucking it
\ndown for your network connection.<\/p>\n
Like you, your sa-tan, the liar, the adversary
\nwas part of the system, he took
\ntime out from walking about, to manipulate
\nyour god to Job’s torture.
\nAnd when prophets arise as they usually do
\nto challenge and ask for account,
\nthe right sinks in might and devious masks
\nand power thus speaks on to truth.<\/p>\n
You would kill your messiah again yet today
\nbetween terror and patriot acts,
\nYou would never even know what it cost you.
\nUnmoved and unbought by the greediest leaven
\nthen no-one will ever select you.
\nIf they can’t implicate you in circular games,
\nthey can always just make you look guilty.<\/p>\n
I have no doubt that Jesus would think
\nour passal of leaders were jerks,
\nbut here is what will surprise you:
\nHe would not look upon you
\nas anything more than the
\nsame old usury-changers,
\nsquat in temple’s dark corners
\nwhile God’s God looks on
\nand this “big” God looks on you and through you.<\/p>\n
Remember ‘fore signing your name to the scroll,
\nyour choices are what will create you.
\n“Repent” simply means take a hard look inside,
\ntake a chance to turn back around now
\nIt’s still not too late, but the longer it takes
\nthe more will die from your blindness.<\/p>\n
If you would be of faithful and loving and kind
\nWake up now before you lose the moment
\nMore bloodguilt continues to deepen the stain
\nYour own hands will never release you.<\/p>\n
