My work site and email were down too.<\/p>\n<p>You mean to say that our electrical network is so poorly planned that a couple of workers could accidently take down much of LA for hours just by cutting a cable? <\/p>\n<p>The internet is reliant on its hardware, which is in turn reliant upon electricity. When my work website and email were down, we lost business. It was a huge deal to us.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing they said was \u00e2\u20ac\u0153it wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t terrorisim.&#8221; That statement fails to comfort me.
