Parents protest school closings

Yeah, we were pretty pissed off too. I don’t think it saved much energy. We stayed home. Ben worked on his homework, we played hide and seek, gave the cat a bath. Wish I’d thought of going to the Capitol. It was simply inconvenient for us – I couldn’t go into work, so it cost me two days’ pay. Actually, since I only work two days a week, it was a whole week’s pay for me. My employer wasn’t pleased. It was a even bigger hardship for some others. I don’t really see the point of it.

Education seems the last thing they should cut right now. Sonny has cut K-12 in GA a billion dollars since he took office. What does my son get now – 48th, 49th in the nation?
How about cutting into the oil companies’ record profits a little instead?
