  1. I cannot imagine how losing a parent will feel like..so far I am blessed to still have them both. The thought of losing them has always been the one thing in my life that scares me. I hope good memories are beginning to take the place of your pain.

Wishing you & yours good holiday season.

The following is a quote I’ve always loved.

No one’s death comes to pass without making some impression, and those close to the deceased inherit part of the liberated soul and become richer in their humanness.

  2. This is a beautiful remembrance, Heidi. I imagine how hard it can feel to lose someone we love so much.

    Blessings!

  3. Heidi, that is a beautiful saying. I know how you feel, this past August was 20 years since my Dad passed, that’s an entire lifetime! I still miss him so much, still find times during the day when it just smacks you upside the face, that you cannot see him or just call to say hi. But it is weird how I see him in my kids, who never met him! My youngest wakes in the morning, cheerful, happy, singing, just like my Dad did! My oldest has his name, so every time I say it – I honor him. I miss both my parents, but little girls just have a special bond with their Dad ! Keep happy memories in your heart and he lives on.

  4. That was a beautiful tribute Heidi. I hope I can write something as touching and as poignant when the one year anniversary comes for my mother’s death. We, too, had a tumultous relationship, but I miss her more and more each day. Isn’t it weird that parents can tell everyone else how proud they are of you, yet not tell you?
