Blog Changes

Ok – I think I’ve got the basic template tweaked enough for now. I’ve added ratings and a post readers count. If you weren’t able to access the blog yesterday, it’s because I lost all my previous changes to the template when I upgraded my version of WordPress. What a pain. When I downloaded the backup, it was somehow in the wrong format. I basically had to cut and past sections into Notepad and edit each template page by hand….

Congrats to Rosei

Congrats to Rosei

A big wedding congrats to my friend Rosei (Roseangela). May you and JP have a blessed life together, full of laughter and love and kindness and joy. See more wedding photos! It is very sweet where you said: Now, coming to life again, I’m married! And happy in my new house, sharing life with an excellent husband. This is my life page now. Let us see the future of us. Now…get that Ph.D. done! (hugs)

The Kitten with the M on its Head

The Kitten with the M on its Head

Nechvatal’s “viractual” digital paintings are dynamic in a way that belies their 2-dimensionality. Pregnant with an almost mystical awareness of new kinds of consciousness, these works embody rhizomatic interconnections that still defy linguistic articulation (at least, they still defy mine, although…

Photography Focus Problem

Photography Focus Problem

This is the kind of thing that makes me want to tear my hair out in frustration. I happened to see a little toad that looked just exactly like a piece of bark. I had to get off a couple of quick shots with the digital camera before it jumped away, and didn’t have time to mess around with all the options and controls. The camera simply would not focus on the toad. It was set to “auto.” This is…
