Since the Christian message in my view doesn’t have much to do with demonizing others, oppressing the poor and the worker, entering into violence with greed as a motivation, using the legal system to enforce injustice and language to hide lies with euphemisms it’s hard for me to understand this alliance between the new republicans and what they call christianity.
Just a quick thought. I find it ironic in a not very funny way that the rich now accuse people who stand up for American democracy as engaging in "class warfare" – the "warfare" seems to me to be going in the other direction. “This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their Constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember…

He transcended all the divisions, he touched on all the great issues – and he did it in a way that created confidence and caring in all who heard him.
I’m not sure that I understand all the ehtical issues involved at this point – but I certainly do believe that this research is important enough for there to be a real national debate about it.
